With CeBIT 2014 now very much in full swing, the announcements keep on coming thick and fast, and our next major highlight is set to go down this evening, when the CODE_n startup competition announces its winner.
Of course, we'll be rooting for the event's UK contingent, with six British big data startups having been selected for the finals.
Ahead of seeing CODE_n in the flesh, we sat down with George Frangou, founder and CEO of Massive Analytic, which specialises in globally scalable hardware and software suites for the big data era.
Offering two core products, Oscar Bao and Favela, the company was recently awarded a SMART innovation grant by the UK Technology Strategy Board and currently has four patents pending.
Frangou proved one of our most knowledgable interviewees to date, offering a deep level of insight into some of the challenges facing companies looking to access rapid big data analytics.
You can watch our video interview with George above, and stay tuned for the big CODE_n announcement tonight, which will be reported as it happens in our dedicated CeBIT 2014 live blog.
