Hewlett-Packard has announced a glut of new all-in-one [AIO] PCs and notebooks that are geared towards small and medium sized businesses [SMBs] that want a new innovative style of workstation.
The Windows 8.1 based devices come in the form of the HP EliteOne 800 AIO and HP ProBook x360 310 with both designed to deliver the flexibility that employees of SMBs have come to expect.
HP’s EliteOne 800 is an AIO desktop computer that comes inside a 21.5in flat screen and includes an Intel Core fourth generation processor as well as a solid-state drive [SSD] or a solid state hybrid drive depending on each company’s requirements.
One of the main features of the AIO is that it can be used in conjunction with optional stands and a space saving VESA wall mount that means it is über flexible, and the screen changes its orientation to portrait or landscape depending on how it is positioned.
The AIO also comes with DTS Studio Sound and a full-HD webcam as standard and can support up to two external displays. HP stated that it would be available to UK customers from next month with prices starting at £850 including HP Client Security.
The HP ProBook x360 310 is the hybrid laptop part of the new range and at its centre is a 11.6in touchscreen that features 360-degree rotation technology that means it can be used as either a tablet or laptop.
The device supports multi-touch gestures as well as HP Imagepad technology and is powered by an Intel Celeron or Pentium processor with up to 750GB of internal storage. Unfortunately HP didn’t provide any details as to when the device will go on sale, what it will cost and which countries will see it on the shelves.
