Huawei has unveiled the new Ascend P7 which sports an 8MP front-facing camera, giving users the best quality selfies on the market.
It's not all vanity gimmicks, though. The 6.5mm wide P7 comes with a 5in HD display, Emotion UI 2.3 and a 13MP rear-facing camera.
The phone is available in blue-black, white, and pink, and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution display, 445ppi and 16:9 aspect ratio.
The Ultra Snapshot function, in a bid to outdo the iPhone 5's quick-access snapping, enables users to be camera-ready in 1.2 seconds by double clicking the down volume button. There's also a "Voice Photo" function, which allows users to add an accompanying 10-second audio clip to photos uploaded onto social media.
The P7's dual antenna is a first for the smartphone market and, according to Huawei, will improve the device's 4G LTE reception, while the 2500 mAh lithium polymer battery is accompanied by a super power-saving mode that enables only basic functions when on less than 10 per cent.
"The launch of Huawei Ascend P7 once again challenges existing industry standards by redefining smartphone design, camera experience, and connectivity, to provide people with an unprecedented mobile experience," said Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG).
