Carphone Warehouse had already put the freshly unveiled LG G3 up on its 'coming soon' page, but the firm has now announced the date when pre-ordering will go live.
And that date is 3 June – or next Tuesday – so you won't have long to wait to reserve your G3 handset, and see what price tag Carphone Warehouse is sticking on the device. LG hasn't announced an official SIM-free price yet, but online retailer Clove has listed the phone at £499, pitching in under the Galaxy S5 (which is around the £550 mark).
Carphone Warehouse says it will have LG G3 stock on sale in stores on 1 July. As we noted yesterday, O2 has said it will be offering the G3 from early July, and UK network Three has also said it will be stocking the phone, but with no timing details yet.
A spokesperson for Carphone Warehouse said: "Fans of LG's G series are typically more tech savvy than the average customer and the G3 certainly doesn't disappoint in terms of high end specifications. LG has somehow managed to cram an incredible 5.5in Quad HD screen, super-fast processor and top spec camera into one relatively lightweight handset with impressive and long lasting battery power. We're predicting that this will be the geek chic device of 2014 that customers will want to snap up."
It's not just about the hardware and that snazzy display with the G3, though, as LG went to pains to point out at the launch – the software and user experience are also key with the handset, which is designed to appeal to smartphone newbies and Android whiz-kids alike.
