Breaking into the games industry requires more than just a good idea, that's why IC tomorrow has announced a free workshop for developers looking to launch the next big thing.
IC tomorrow is the digital programme of the UK's innovation agency, the Technology Strategy board, and will be holding the event at Côte St Paul on Ludgate Hill, London, on Thursday 19 June. Featuring speakers from Sony, Channel 4 and Xbox, the workshop aims to break down barriers for developers launching their own gaming businesses and will open doors to a new generation of UK tech entrepeneurs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to make connections with experts that can help them grow their core skills into scalable businesses, including investors, games buyers and representatives from large industry players such as Sony and Microsoft.
"We realised there was an appetite among the games developer community for commercial awareness and business skills training," said Matt Sansam, programme manager at IC tomorrow. "This event is a great opportunity for them to fill any gaps in their knowledge, to network with each other and also to meet some of the leading experts in their field. We would like to see more developers taking advantage of the funds and resources we have to offer, and this is a positive first step."
The deadline for registrations is 12pm on Tuesday 18 June. For more information, check out the IC tomorrow website.
