Vodafone has revealed its plans for the next stage of the expansion of its 4G super-fast mobile network.
The operator is set to bring 4G LTE coverage to five new towns and cities, namely: Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Reading and Southampton.
The emphasis is on the south this time around, as the north of England featured in the last round of 4G expansion, including Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Tyne & Wear.
In a blog post, the network noted: "We're making every effort to be as clear as possible about the scale of our roll out, making it clear up to three months in advance when we plan to switch the service on, when we start rolling 4G out and when it's officially live."

Vodafone also recently announced a deal with Netflix, whereby those signing up to a Red 4G tariff (at over £26 per month) will get a free six month subscription to the movie streaming service, which will test the muscle of their LTE connection. That offer starts from next month, and will run until the end of the year.
