Amadeus has announced a technological agreement with enterprise software giant SAP, in order to further connect the cloud with corporate travel.
The company will integrate the SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense solution with its e-Travel Management system, which will incorporate online booking, expense and mobile capabilities.
An SAP partner for more than 15 years, Amadeus identified a need to provide the business travel community with a comprehensive setup – something that would make planning that trip to Silicon Valley a little less taxing.

"Corporations want a complete end-to-end solution for their travel management requirements through one single provider and integrated with the rest of the company's systems," said Álbert Pozo, vice president global customers, Amadeus.
The travel IT firm - headquartered in Madrid and with 10,000 employees worldwide – also offers services to airlines, hotels, rail and ferry operators, and travel agencies, as well as corporate travel buyers.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Amadeus for our first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement in the travel sector," said Franck Cohen, president of EMEA, SAP AG. "SAP already has a strong presence in this industry but this partnership will put us right at the heart of it."
The announcement follows Bill McDermott's explanation of SAP's "fight against complexity" at the company's summer 2014 Sapphire Now event in Orlando.
