Apple reveals new iPod touch 16GB with iSight camera at £159

Apple has refreshed its iPod touch range with a new 16GB model that has a 5 megapixel iSight camera on board, and is available in six different colours (pink, yellow, blue, silver, space grey and red).

You can bag the 16GB model for £159, and the whole iPod range has become more wallet-friendly with the existing 32GB version being reduced to £199, and the top of the range 64GB effort coming down to £249.

However, while it's available right now over in the US (at $199), the new 16GB iPod touch hasn't gone on sale in the UK just yet. It's not up on Apple's online store in this country, though the outgoing iSight-camera-less 16GB touch has been marked as "currently unavailable", so we'd imagine this will change soon. Apple said that the device would be rolling out worldwide in the "coming days", though the UK should be first in the queue after the US.

As well as the 5 megapixel iSight camera, the iPod touch boasts a FaceTime camera, 4in Retina Display and it's driven by an A5 chip. The device comes with iOS 7 on board, but will be upgradable to iOS 8 when it emerges this autumn.
