The September edition of Startup Grind saw Vernon Hill II, the billionaire founder and chairman of Metro Bank, share his fascinating story and valuable business knowledge with the startup community.
This month, Alastair Stewart, founder and CEO of Etc Venues, is to host, bringing business guidance, advice and a wealth of knowledge to the gathered throng.
Alastair – an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2009 and 2013 – left Rentokil Initial in 2006, where he had been MD of the conference venue business, Initial Style Conferences. With private equity backing from Dunedin Capital Partners he acquired the specialist city centre venue company, Etc Venues. In 2012 he secured fresh capital from Growth Capital Partners in a secondary management buyout.
Alongside the chance to hear the wisdom of a business expert, Startup Grind provides a great platform for networking. We'll be there, all eyes and ears.
The event was held at Cass Business School on Wednesday 29 October 2014 and ran from 6pm-9pm.
